NOOC 04-JUN-2021: Navy Optometry Research Update
Program Description
The Navy Operational Optometry Conference will share operationally relevant clinical pearls and updates specific to providing eye care to Navy service members including topics on dive/undersea, aviation, underway, humanitarian, and community specific trends.

- Show military vision and optical readiness.
- List Navy & Marine Corps vision conservation and eye injury projects.
- Outline the research capabilities of NAMRU-Dayton..
- Know NAMRU-Dayton’s role within the DON/DOD
- Identify some of the recent and current vision-science projects ongoing at NAMRU-D.
- Comprehend how optometry is enabling the US Naval Aviation Enterprise.
- Generate a familiarity with human systems engineering and how optometry fits within that domain.
- Discover how vision science is critical to warfighter performance.
