Program Description
Navy Pharmacy Quarterly Knowledge Shares provide the Navy Pharmacy Community with information and resources on relevant clinical and administrative topics. The May 2022 Navy Pharmacy Quarterly Knowledge Share will review “Controlled Substance Management in an Expeditionary Setting.”
Target Audience
This CE/CME activity is accredited by the DHA, J-7, Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze the life cycle of a controlled substance within supply, pharmacy, and wards/clinics.
- Summarize the mandatory and recommended policies and procedures when working with controlled substances.
- Comprehend the function and composition of a Controlled Substance Inventory Board (CSIB) in meeting BUMEDINST 6710.70 requirements
