MRSSSS: Learning and Creating New Procedures After Residency/Fellowship: Lessons from the Evolution of Endothelial Keratoplasty, 12 JAN 2023
Program Description
This is a live in-person event is for military ophthalmologist, optometrists, and staff of military refractive surgery centers. This event provides a venue for sharing educational topics among the product line. Subjects have been taken from input provided by military refractive surgery care givers and providers. Instructors are a mix of providers with more than five years of refractive surgery experience or residents providing evidence-based research and reports.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for: physicians and optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Define the steps required to safely learn new surgical procedures.
- Describe the personal journey Dr Terry experienced in the development of endothelial keratoplasty and the lessons he learned about the factors that allow any new surgical procedure to be accepted by mainstream medicine.
