- Describe the current state of the goal for zero preventable harm
- Identify threats to patient safety
- Strategize opportunities in anesthesiology to enhance patient safety and reduce preventable harm
- Identify different types of coronary artery stents.
- Recognize the risk of non-cardiac surgery following coronary artery stent deployment.
- Review perioperative considerations for patients with coronary artery stents who present for non-cardiac surgery.
- Describe opportunities to improve perioperative patient care.
