Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, athletic trainers, registered dieticians, dietetic technicians, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, kinesiotherapist, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss the basic principles and fundamentals of ultrasound imaging as a point-of care tool in clinical examination.
  2. Describe normal neuromusculoskeletal sonoanatomy of the ankle and foot, ankle and foot, wrist, ankle and foot, ankle and foot, and ankle.
  3. Perform basic sonographic exam of the ankle and foot, ankle and foot, wrist, ankle and foot, ankle and foot, and ankle.
  4. Review common musculoskeletal disorders and their impact in normal functioning and patient's activities of daily living.
  5. Collaborate with peers and SME's in developing patient education techniques when performing. preparatory methods and tasks during clinical examination leading to patient therapy progress.
  6. Identify interventions, preparatory activities, and outcomes of common MSK disorders.
  7. Identify musculoskeletal structures of the elbow joints via ultrasound imaging.
  8. Apply imaging techniques to generate diagnostic imaging for the elbow joints
  9. Conduct ultrasound imaging of the elbow joint using proper landmarks.
  10. Identify musculoskeletal structures of the wrist and hand joint via ultrasound imaging
  11. Apply imaging techniques to generate diagnostic imaging for the wrist and hand.
  12. Conduct ultrasound imaging of the wrist and hand joint using proper landmarks
  13. Identify musculoskeletal structures of the hip joints via ultrasound imaging.
  14. Apply imaging techniques to generate diagnostic imaging for the hip joints.
  15. Conduct ultrasound imaging of the hip joint using proper landmarks.
