MPHRDS| Stellate Ganglion Block for Treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms: A Family of Studies

Join the Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE) for a live-virtual event on September 25 , 2025, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET. This activity is intended for military healthcare professionals across the Defense Health Agency and the Department of Defense.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician associates/physician assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, social workers, psychologists, and healthcare executives A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Summarize early research on stellate ganglion block (SGB) for treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
  2. Describe a multisite randomized controlled trial of SGB for treatment of PTSD symptoms, and its findings.
  3. Identify PTSD symptom clusters most responsive to SGB.
