Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Differentiate behavioral health screening tools.
- Describe the management of depression in special populations.
- Identify drug classes that qualify for psychotropic polypharmacy.
- Describe effective strategies to implement Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee-directed formulary conversions with the Medical Team.
- Select diagnostic codes, evaluation and management (E&M) codes, and procedural codes that are most appropriate for clinical pharmacy documentation of care for specific disease states, types of appointments or services.
- Identify the correct DMHRSi codes for documentation of direct and in-direct patient care hours.
- Identify clinical applications and systems to streamline clinical pharmacy workflow.
- Explain the process for documenting Relay Health communication in the electronic health record (AHLTA).
- Summarize the key functions of Relay Health applicable to clinical pharmacy.
- Construct time saving strategies and coding requirements when using Relay Health.
- Define the Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV)/HIP system applicable to clinical pharmacy.
