MAMC Pharmacy Series: Diabetes Management in Pregnancy
This live course will address “Diabetes Management in Pregnancy.” National guidelines on management of pre-existing diabetes during pregnancy and gestational diabetes will be discussed.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- List risks associated with diabetes in pregnancy.
- Describe preconception counseling and care for individuals with diabetes.
- Review glycemic goals and target blood glucose levels during pregnancy.
- List pharmacologic therapy agents for blood glucose management during pregnancy.
