This live course will address “Diabetes Management in Pregnancy.” National guidelines on management of pre-existing diabetes during pregnancy and gestational diabetes will be discussed.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. List risks associated with diabetes in pregnancy.
  2. Describe preconception counseling and care for individuals with diabetes.
  3. Review glycemic goals and target blood glucose levels during pregnancy.
  4. List pharmacologic therapy agents for blood glucose management during pregnancy.
