At its most essential, evidence synthesis occurs when we gather together original research studies in order to understand or make a statement about the overall picture of that body of evidence. An Evidence Synthesis Librarian is someone who has been highly trained in many review methodologies and can help you locate and identify the best studies to meet your review goal.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and kinesiotherapists.

A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Understand the concept of evidence synthesis and its importance in consolidating original research for a specific goal.
  2. Learn how ESLs assist in identifying the most relevant and high-quality studies for a particular research objective.
  3. Comprehend how ESLs contribute to the decision-making process in selecting appropriate research studies
