Program Description
The Lifestyle & Performance Medicine Lecture Series is intended for all health care professionals and healthcare leaders to learn more about the approach to patient care known as Lifestyle Medicine. The first lecture is titled "Unlock the Power of Lifestyle Medicine to Prevent, Treat, and Reverse Disease”, and will focus on the basic foundations of Lifestyle Medicine, the history and evidence supporting how Lifestyle Medicine prevents, treats and reverses chronic disease, as well as how it can be implemented to overcome current challenges facing our chronic disease epidemic in the Military Health System and within military readiness.
Target Audience
This CE/CME activity is accredited by the DHA, J-7, Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, optometrists, social workers, psychologists, dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, registered dieticians, dietetic technicians, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, kinesiotherapists, healthcare executives, audiologists and speech language pathologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
