Program Description

The Lifestyle & Performance Medicine Lecture Series is intended for all health care professionals and healthcare leaders to learn more about the approach to patient care known as Lifestyle Medicine. This lecture will discuss the topic “Should Ultra-Processed Foods Be Considered Addictive?”

 

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, social workers, psychologists, dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, athletic trainers, registered dieticians, dietetic technicians, certified counselors, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Identify the neurobiological underpinnings of addictions.
  2. Explain health consequences of ultra-processed diet within U.S. military and veteran populations.
  3. Describe treatment challenges within this population.
