Learning Objectives
- Discuss Clinical Practice Guidelines related to Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSNHL).
- Describe implications of the Hearing Center of Excellence's (HCE) clinical study related to SSNHL.
- Define SSNHL and recognize the clinical presentation of SSNHL.
- Select appropriate referrals for a patient who reports tinnitus.
- Identify the location of the International Classification of Diseases-10 (ICD-10) Coding guidance for vestibular disorders on the HCE website to use as a resource.
- Summarize the purpose of the Vestibular Disorders ICD-10 Coding Guidance document.
- Execute appropriate treatment and referral for patients with SSNHL, tinnitus and vestibular disorders.
