Integrated Operational Support Workshop (IOSW) FEB 2022

Program Description

One of the Air Force Surgeon General's primary objectives is to optimize the health and human performance of installation operational units through direct operational support of Air Force Medical Service assets. The base Operations Support Team (OST) is a multidisciplinary team of medical personnel with expertise related to mitigation of military occupation related physical or psychological stressors. The Integrated Operational Support Workshop (IOSW) will provide instruction on how to work in an embedded environment to include building relationships, conducting unit-level needs assessments, performing time-limited integration in high risk squadrons, commander consultation and intervention.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for social workers, physicians and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Utilize knowledge and skills when working in an embedded environment.
  2. Assess squadron needs and to apply appropriate interventions to optimize performance.
  3. Manage multiple levels of leadership and relationships effectively and professionally.
