Group Practice Managers Course

Program Description

Military Treatment Facility clinic-level staff responsible for overall clinic operations and management, especially Primary Care, PCMH clinics. This course is designed at the clinic-level to relate sound strategies to assist clinic leaders in their management journey according to the latest policies and guidance from the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The Group Practice Manager Course is a two phased approach via MS Teams (all other courses will be offered on JKO V-CLASS) and resident in-person learning. It is to provide knowledge and tools to the respective clinic leaders to execute and sustain effective and efficient clinic management constructs at their MTFs.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and healthcare executives. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees

Learning Objectives

  1. Improve delivery of care for patients in their clinics.
  2. Describe workflow efficiencies that improve access and outcomes.
  3. Identify metrics and dashboards that provide data regarding patient care and performance.
  4. Discuss the integral role of quality and safety as it affects the delivery of patient care.
  5. Summarize the collaboration of business practices to clinical care.

    DHA J-7 CEPO has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 20.00 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until Thursday, March 27, 2025 - 11:59pm ET.
