Get Your ACT Together: Introduction to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in the Military, Day 1, Session 1
Program Description
This training is intended for clinicians and students in the behavioral health field looking to better understand and implement Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as an additional transdiagnostic psychotherapy to improve the functioning and decrease the suffering of military mental health patients. This will be accomplished in a 2-day, in-person training at Andrews AFB with didactical and experiential components.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, social workers, and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

- Understand human suffering from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) perspective.
- Describe behavior in terms of rule governed behavior and avoidance.

The instructional level of this activity is intermediate. There is no cost to participate.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, DHA, J7, CEPO is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 3.00 continuing education credits.

In support of improving patient care, DHA, J-7, CEPO is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team. This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 3.00 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
