The FIBWA Executive Course equips leaders within the Joint Force with the tools necessary to counter evolving biological threats through three core dimensions:
- Strategic Threat Recognition: Develop in-depth knowledge of evolving biowarfare agents and their strategic-level operational impacts.
- Systemic Synthesis: Gain competence in translating biodefense identification data into actionable, large-scale medical response plans.
- Interoperable Mastery: Coordinate Joint Force medical assets, align tactical intelligence with high-level command decisions, and execute unified training protocols.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, and physician associates/physician assistants across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze the characteristics and strategic implications of various biowarfare threats.
- Differentiate between tactical and strategic biodefense identification methods.
- Evaluate the readiness and response capabilities of the joint force against biological threats.
- Justify the implementation of specific training protocols to enhance biowarfare preparedness.
- Devise a strategic framework for responding to a potential biowarfare event.
- Organize joint force assets and capabilities to create a coordinated defense against biological warfare.

DHA J-7 CEPO has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 5.00 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until Wednesday, October 14, 2026 - 10:59am ET. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
