Family Advocacy Staff Training Advanced Course-- Child Abuse
This activity provides clinicians and healthcare professionals with an actionable framework for implementing Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) in therapeutic settings. Participants will explore the neurobiological effects of trauma on patient behavior and recovery and equip providers with non-intrusive clinical strategies designed to promote healing while actively preventing client re-traumatization.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and certified counselors. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Apply Truth Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) by connecting, empowering, and correcting strategies in working with clients.
- Explain how the brain processes trauma and the impact it can have on healing and behaviors during the healing process.
- Utilize nurture groups in group settings to demonstrate the four pillars of secure attachment.
- Identify a new clinical strategy that is not intrusive for clients and does not cause additional victimization.
