The End of Life Care Course is being held at Irwin Army Community Hospital to provide staff with an understanding of the end of life process; to highlight the importance of meeting patient’s needs with empathy and by practicing active listening; and to encourage the developing of self-resiliency. Students will demonstrate proficiency by answering open ended questions and by practicing these skills on each other while being supervised by the instructor. The course will include a training video, a presentation, handouts and computer/projector.
