DPH Integration Summit 2021 Day 2: Administrative Separations & Organizational Inspection Program (OIP)

Program Description

This summit will provide IDPH and RDPH participants with guidance and resources to assist development and implementation of tailored processes within established CR2C’s to effectively lead and integrate BH resources at their location in order to maximize limited BH resources, better supporting Army and Army Family readiness.

Medical and mental health professionals; specifically, psychiatrists, psychologists, psych nurse practitioners, social workers, and licensed counselors

Learning Objectives

Administrative Separations

  1. Review the revisions contained in the update of OTSG/MEDCOM Policy 16-118.
  2. Evaluate the purpose, requirements, and process for conducting BH evaluations of AD Soldiers undergoing administrative separation/officer elimination under potential OTH conditions.
  3. Discuss how successful implementation of this revised policy will be measured.

Organizational Inspection Program (OIP)

  1. Review the Army Organization Inspection Program (OIP).
  2. Examine how the BH OIP checklist is developed.
  3. Evaluate the “Root Cause Analysis Model”
  4. Summarize the tentative plans for BH OIP within the Defense Health Agency (DHA)

    As a Jointly Accredited Organization, DHA, J7, CEPO is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 1.75 continuing education credits.
