Program Description
The quarterly DoD Pharmacy Enterprise World Wide Webinars are intended, but are not limited to, providing updates to pharmacy and formulary management leaders regarding changes to the DoD pharmacy benefit design, pharmacy regulatory changes, and DoD pharmacy standardization policies and practices across all uniformed service military treatment facility pharmacies. The aim is to improve medication management, patient safety, and support pharmacy readiness within the Military Health System (MHS).
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze and discuss updates to the uniform formulary, including previous Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) meeting clarifications, recent P&T drug class reviews, and placement of newly FDA-approved drugs.
- Discuss new changes to the current prior authorization (PA) criteria and utilization management (UM) updates, such as medication quantity limits (QLs) and medications added as line-extensions.
- Discuss frequently asked Formulary Management questions regarding formulary status and prior authorization.
