Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, social workers, psychologists and certified counselors. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss the difference between acute and chronic adjustment disorders in relation to conditions not amounting to a disability (CND).
  2. Identify the implications of inpatient and intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment on CNDs and Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) submissions.
  3. Explain the process of reviewing electronic medical records and clarifying conflicting diagnoses that impact recommendations for CND vs. PEB.
  4. Engage in collaborative relationships with LIMDU Coordinator, PEBLO and Convening Authorities to ensure successful submissions of recommendations for CND and PEB.
