Learning Objectives

1. Identify the major components of the current VA/DoD PTSD Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG). 

2. Outline the key considerations and recommended steps for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ASD and Acute Stress Reaction (ASR)/Combat and Operational Stress Reaction (COSR). 

3. Explain the key considerations and recommended steps for the assessment, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of PTSD. 

4. Utilize appropriate VA/DoD clinical support resources available for use when caring for patients with PTSD, ASD and ASR/COSR.
