Requirement
The learner must complete the activity and pass the posttest in JKO prior to claiming CE credit. (https://jko.jten.mil/).
The Access Code to register for the course will be provided upon completion of the course in JKO. If you did not receive the access code from JKO, then you may email your JKO-issued certificate of completion to dha.ncr.j7.mbx.cepo-cms-support@health.mil , and the CEPO team will provide you with the access code.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, optometrists, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, audiologists, speech language pathologists, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the initial management of a patient diagnosed with concussion.
- Communicate the criteria for progression in the Progressive Return to Activity (PRA) to a service member.
- Identify appropriate activities for each of the six stages of the PRA and provide activity examples for each stage.
- Apply primary care management strategies to service members who are not progressing as expected in the PRA and recognize indications for specialty referral.
- Conduct the Return to Duty (RTD) screening with a service member.
