Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Examine procedures for toxicology screening and confirmation, specimen collection, sample preparations, limitations, data/case review and patient presentation.
  2. Discuss the interpretations of the concentration of drugs and toxins in a patient’s system.
  3. Explain the drug/toxicant concentration thresholds capable of impairing a capacity to consent to sexual acts.
