Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss differences and similarities of compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious trauma. 
  2. Explain what signs or symptoms an individual may present with if suffering from compassion fatigue.
  3. Identify what activates the nervous system.
  4. Identify activities and techniques one can do to decrease compassion fatigue.

Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.
