Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Identify risk factors for sexual assault/abuse amongst vulnerable populations.
- Discuss signs/symptoms of sexual assault/abuse amongst vulnerable populations
- List ethical principles to consider during medical-forensic process
- Identify resources available to the Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiner (SAMFE) when caring for patients who lack capacity for consent.
