Program Description

This course is designed primarily for New DHA Facility Managers with an introduction to the various topics required to successfully manage a DHA Medical Treatment Facility. Anyone with Facility Operations oversight may also attend.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for healthcare executives. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the Major Roles and Responsibilities for a Facilities Management (FM) organization within DHA.
  2. Identify the key roles and responsibilities of a Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization Portfolio Manager(SRM-PM).
  3. Identify the final stage of funding for Work Induction Board (WIB) level validated requirements.
  4. Understand the fundamentals of facility accreditation & compliance.
  5. Identify the source code that ensures Life Safety compliance during active construction projects.
  6. Understand the various types of execution methods available for projects.

    DHA J-7 CEPO is authorized to award a maximum of 12.00 hours of pre-approved American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Qualified Education credit for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program who wish to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit must self-report their participation. To self-report, participants must log into their MyACHE account and select ACHE Qualified Education Credit.
