DAY 2: TBI and Workshop
Target Audience
Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, non-physician AMA PRA Category 1 Credit, physician assistants, optometrists and a certificate of attendance.
Learning Objectives
1. Summarize Polytrauma Vision Syndrome (PTVS) and See-sick Syndrome (SSS)
2. Identify the sensory conflict that can result from blast injuries and discuss acute and long-term management of visual sequelae resulting from PTVS
3. Review the common symptoms associated with TBI patients experiencing vestibulitis disorders
4. Discuss the how, what, when, where and why of ruling out PTVS
5. Reinforce the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in the screening, evaluation, treatment, and coding of patients with TBI
