Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of psychologists and social workers who support/care for U.S. active-duty service members, reservists, National Guardsmen, military veterans and their families.

  1. Describe two characteristics of effective communication strategies when consulting with Primary Care Mangers (PCMs) regarding patients with chronic pain.
  2. List two ways that IBHCs can support PCMs well-being when working with patients with chronic pain.
  3. Apply effective PCM communication strategies to discussion of case-based clinical scenarios.
