Burn Nutrition
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physician associates/physician assistants, registered dieticians, dietetic technicians, occupational therapists, and occupational therapy assistants across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the metabolic response to thermal injury/trauma.
- Review the components of nutrition assessment.
- Examine the body systems with regard to nutrition.
- Identify medications used to promote anabolism and other medications that relate to nutrition.
- Monitor and evaluate the response to nutrition Rx.
