Botulinum Toxin Use for Migraine Headaches

This two-day course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with comprehensive training in the use of botulinum toxin for the management of chronic migraine. It combines in-depth classroom lecture with extensive hands-on practice to ensure the learner is prepared to integrate this treatment into practice.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, and physician associates/physician assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Summarize the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) approved indications and information for botulinum toxin for treatment of chronic migraine headaches.
  2. Apply relevant published evidence for use of botulinum toxin for treatment of patients with migraine headaches.
  3. Explain the anatomy, pharmacology, preparation, injection protocol, indications and risks for use of botulinum toxin for treatment of chronic migraine headaches.
