Program Description

This webinar will discuss the best practices for COVID-19 vaccines to help healthcare personnel provide optimal immunization healthcare.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. The learner will be able to identify the COVID-19 vaccine candidates, mechanisms of action, and current status with regard to availability for military and public use in the United States when providing immunization education to a patient
  2. The learner will be able to analyze clinical consideration for COVID-19 vaccine administration, vaccine storage and handling procedures, including prioritizing vaccine recipients, screening, administration and follow-up prior to administering the vaccine to a patient
  3. Summarize COVID-19 vaccine clinical topics to promote vaccine confidence and public health during patient education with a patient
