Behavioral Health Consultant Role in Obstructive Sleep Apnea – Series

Program Description

This particular webinar will train Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs) regarding their role in managing Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). BHCs will learn the evidence base about a behavioral intervention for OSA, including education and motivational interviewing to increase adherence to the use of treatment devices. The webinar will be interactive, with participation encouraged. 

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for social workers and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify a standardized assessment measure that can assess response to treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
  2. List complications of untreated OSA.
  3. Describe how Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs) can enhance patient adherence to medical treatments for OSA.
