Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA)
The purpose of this presentation/activity is for medical practitioners to become trained and certified in Battlefield Acupuncture to extend their pain management capabilities. At the end of this training the medical practitioners who attend will be able to independently follow the BFA protocol and place ASP needles in the five points on bilateral ears to help Soldiers effectively manage their pain.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physician associates/physician assistants, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

- Describe the potential impact of incorporating Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA) into clinical practice.
- Outline the five-point placements utilized in Battlefield Acupuncture.
- Demonstrate understanding of the Battlefield Acupuncture clinical protocols.

DHA J-7 CEPO has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 4.00 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until Thursday, February 19, 2026 - 11:59pm ET. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
