BAMC Journal Club: The incidence and mortality of refeeding syndrome in older, hospitalized patients, based on three different diagnostic criteria: A longitudinal study
Program Description:
The purpose of this journal club is to elicit thoughtful conversation among registered dietitians/nutritionist about the identification and treatment of refeeding syndrome. Currently, there is no standardized definition or diagnostic criteria for refeeding syndrome. This article compares the incidence of mortality in older, hospitalized patients identified at risk for re-feeding syndrome using three different diagnostic criteria for refeeding syndrome.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for registered dieticians and dietetic technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
