Program Description

This series of Extension of Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) Clinics will cover methods, benefits, and outcomes of sharing specialized Pain management medical knowledge utilizing Project ECHO. The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Pain Management program worked with University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Project ECHO Office to adapt and replicate the UNM ECHO model in order to synchronize implementation of the Comprehensive Pain Management Campaign Plan (CPMCP) and to provide innovative support to Primary Care.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify peripheral neuropathic pain syndromes.
  2. Explain basic mechanisms of neuropathic pathophysiology.
  3. Demonstrate competence in evidence-based treatments for peripheral neuropathic pain syndromes.

    Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The DHA, J7, CEPO maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. DHA, J-7, CEPO designated this activity for a maximum of 1.50 CE credits. The instructional level of this activity is intermediate. There is no cost to participate.
