Program Description

This series of Extension of Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) Clinics will cover methods, benefits, and outcomes of sharing specialized Pain management medical knowledge utilizing Project ECHO. The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Pain Management program worked with University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Project ECHO Office to adapt and replicate the UNM ECHO model in order to synchronize implementation of the Comprehensive Pain Management Campaign Plan (CPMCP) and to provide innovative support to Primary Care.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Describe the need to treat and the management of acute and perioperative pain
  2. Explain the indications and procedures done by pain medicine subspecialists
  3. Define specialty pain management services for acute perioperative and chronic pain

    Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). DHA, J7, CEPO maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. DHA, J-7, CEPO designated this activity for a maximum of 1.50 CE credits. The instructional level of this activity is intermediate. There is no cost to participate.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1.50 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
