Anesthesia Technologist Lecture Series: Inhaled Anesthetics
Program Description:
This live event is designed for corpsmen in the anesthesia department working as anesthesia technicians. Vital components of anesthesia set up and delivery will be reviewed followed by an extensive discussion on the concepts of patient populations and surgical procedures. The course will improve corpsmen knowledge of anesthesia relevant topics and prepare them to sit for the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians national board certification.
This iteration will summarize mechanism of action, indications, contraindications, and considerations for inhaled anesthetics. Also, it will discuss the functionality of vaporizer.
Target Audience
This activity provides a certificate of attendance for corpsmen who are working as anesthesia technicians.

- Compare sevoflurane, isoflurane, and desflurane.
- Discuss mechanisms of action of inhaled anesthetics.
- Differentiate inhaled anesthetics and nitrous oxide.
