Anesthesia Technologist Lecture Series: Fluids, Blood and Trauma
Program Description:
This live event is designed for corpsmen in the anesthesia department working as anesthesia technicians. Vital components of anesthesia set up and delivery will be reviewed followed by an extensive discussion on the concepts of patient populations and Airway Management. The course will improve corpsmen knowledge of anesthesia relevant topics and prepare them to sit for the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians national board certification. This iteration is an in dept discussion on the components of Airway Management, its care and safety precautions.

Learning Objectives
- Estimate the blood volume of different patient populations.
- Describe allowable blood loss.
- Understand how intravenous catheter choice affects fluid resuscitation rates.
- Anticipate fluid resuscitation requirements.
