Program Description

This monthly series will consist of a provider from the Mental Health (MH) field presenting an interesting case that will illustrate an important clinical lesson or pearls of wisdom. Participants will be able to identify common knowledge gaps in Air Force (AF) policy for MH readiness and illustrate patient presentations which will require interpretation of Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) policies and guidance on readiness.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists and certified counselors. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the basic constructs of the psychopathic personality.
  2. Explain how to recognize individuals who may have high levels of psychopathic constructs.
  3. Differentiate among psychopathy, sociopathy, and Antisocial Personality Disorder.
  4. Summarize how psychopathic behavior affects the law enforcement, mental health, and coordinated community response to violence and crime.
  5. Describe the probable etiology.
  6. Recognize the history of psychopathy as a construct.
