Program Description

Adaptive sports participation is an important component of the care regimen for injured servicemembers and veterans. Overcoming access barriers, utilizing available resources and incorporating adaptive sports into care plans are key to maximizing the impact of adaptive sports participation.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, kinesiotherapists, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Identify the barriers to adaptive sport participation.
  2. Delineate how adaptive sports may be used to enhance clinical intervention.
  3. Explain how to access resources to support your patients’ adaptive sports requirements.
