Program Description: 

This live, in-person event is being held to connect neurology and brain structure to behavioral health interventions. A better understanding of the connection can enhance both the experience for the clinician and the patient. Understanding how their symptoms, treatment, and progress connect to the brain and body can help rapport and discussion about how treatment is going.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, physician assistants, psychologists, social workers, and certified counselors. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Discuss different important neurology terms and brain regions involved in behavioral health.
  2. Describe biologic changes in the brain from behavioral health interventions.
  3. Connect structure and circuit theories to behavioral health interventions.
