Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental technicians across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the evolution of the dental operating microscope (DOM) in endodontics.
  2. Identify evidence-based benefits of the DOM in endodontics.
  3. Properly position the DOM based on treatment site.
  4. Identify key parts of the DOM for safe operation.
  5. Configure the DOM to individual ergonomic and visual preferences.
  6. Perform basic microscope care and maintenance.
