2026 DHA Behavioral Health Leader Summit: Leadership in Practice-Tools and Strategies to Optimize Healthcare Delivery and Enhance Readiness

January 21, 2026 to January 23, 2026

Behavioral Health leaders throughout the MHS support our Nation by providing standardized integrated execution and management of the DHA Behavioral Health System of Care—improving efficiency, building readiness, and ensuring exceptional clinical outcomes. This educational activity, hosted by the DHA Behavioral Heath Clinical Management Team, will equip military and civilian behavioral health leaders with the essential knowledge, skills, tools, strategies, and insights needed to lead effectively. Subject matter experts from across the MHS will discuss evidence-based practices in treating sexual trauma, suicide prevention and intervention, and managing children and adolescents at elevated risk for suicide. Evidence based models for integrating behavioral health personnel into primary care will be presented, along with how to optimize case management, to effectively utilize Behavioral Health Technicians as provider extenders, to bridge gaps in care through virtual health, and resources to support transitioning Service members. Lessons learned from inspections and assessments will be presented in addition to key policy updates and how the Behavioral Health Clinical Community shapes policy and practice. Special attention will be focused on digital health initiatives and specialized management tools to optimize performance, help operate your clinic smoothly, and improve patient access and outcomes.
