Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician associates/physician assistants, social workers, psychologists, dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, registered dieticians, dietetic technicians, and healthcare executives. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Recognize why speaking requests can be problematic.
  2. Articulate why gifts are an ethics issue.
  3. Recognize a conflict-of-interest issue.
  4. Comprehend that new DoD/DHA employees cannot participate on matters where their former non-Government employer is a party for two full years.
  5. Discuss generally what conduct the Post Government Employment restrictions prohibit.
  6. Summarize when to disqualify when seeking employment.
