Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for nurses. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Evaluate how to screen using the Hunger Vital Sign and related issues specific to military environments.
  2. Discuss the state of Navy medicine and its Nurse Corps.
  3. Identify the characteristics of a “good death” and how we as healthcare workers can support patients and families through death and dying.
  4. Describe the importance ruthlessly prioritizing to help eliminate the current turbulent work environment.
  5. Examine readiness both within the hospital and in an operational setting.
  6. Compare links between access to care and patient satisfaction.
  7. Explain how to implement and sustain a FWBT training program.
  8. Summarize the importance of blood pressure checks and the impacts on readiness if not completed.
  9. Apply the understanding gained to influence and improve public health.
  10. Analyze lessons learned in the Polar Regions that are relevant to the space environment.
  11. Describe the didactic and psychomotor skills process provided within the RQI system.
  12. Illustrate how VR scenarios can help nurses develop critical thinking and decision-making skills in various clinical settings.
  13. Review the required involvement from professional staff to support curriculum.
