Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for: physicians, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Compare and contrast the differences between Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS) current state and Operational Medicine Data Store (OMDS) future state.
  2. Explain internal and external challenges to integrate various technological systems through data transfer.
  3. Understand tick transmitted diseases.
  4. Discuss new and emerging tick diseases in Europe.
  5. Summarize Defense Health Agency (DHA) efforts in response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and pediatric abuse.
  6. Define the roles and responsibilities of medical first responders.
  7. Compare the historic and modern settings of fighting in Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).
  8. Differentiate impacts that changes in technology, knowledge, and the environment shape operational public health in a modern LSCO context.
  9. Identify mitigation strategies to break the chain of infection.
  10. Analyze the presented information related to the surface and amphibious transport testing.
