2024 DHA CPC: 2024 Diabetes Updates
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Review diagnosis criteria for Diabetes.
- Identify cardiorenal risk factors to determine appropriate medications for patients with T2DM.
- Identify when to recommend nonpharmacological therapy: DSME, MNT, and Exercise.
- Determine glycemic and HgA1c goals based on age and comorbid conditions.
- Summarize obesity and weight management goals.
- Describe specific goals for older adults.
- Describe specific goals for children and adolescents.
