Maj Maria Kravchenko, M.D. is a staff endocrinologist at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft Sam Houston, TX. She also provides care to patients at the Diabetes Center of Excellence at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland AFB, TX.  She attended medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine, graduating with the class of 2012.  She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Wright-Patterson AFB, and her Endocrinology fellowship at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC).  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.  She currently holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University, and is on the faculty of the SAUSHEC Endocrinology fellow and Internal Medicine residency programs.

Dr. Kravchenko has spearheaded several process improvement projects to improve the care of patients with diabetes, and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals in the fields of diabetes and endocrinology.  She is active in many educational activities including curriculum development for the biannual Diabetes Champion Course.
