Jenifer Meno, D.N.P., F.N.P.-B.C
COL Jenifer A. Meno graduated from East Carolina University at Greenville, NC in 1992. She was commissioned as a ROTC-Distinguished Military Graduate. She earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University in 2001. In 2017, she completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice Candidate at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
COL Meno’s military education includes: Officers Basic and Advance Course, Cadet Command Course, Combined Humanitarian Area Relief Team Course, numerous clinical courses, CAS3, Command General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS and Brigade Pre-Command Course. In 2011 she completed a Masters in Strategic Studies from Senior Service College, Carlisle Barracks, PA.
COL Meno’s awards and decorations include: Legion of Merit (1 Oak leaf cluster), Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (7th Oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5th oak leaf cluster), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2 stars), Operation Inherent Resolve, United Nations Medal, Expert Field Medical Badge, and Department of the Army Staff Badge. COL Meno is a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit.
COL Meno is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Ambulatory Care Nursing. She has also received the Army Medical Department “A” Proficiency Designator in this specialty.
COL Meno is presently the Deputy Assistant Director of Strategy, Planning and Functional Integration at the Defense Health Agency in Falls Church, VA.
